THE EVENT
What
is LIFE Walk?
LIFE
Walk is
family
fun event that promotes the awareness and education of organ and
tissue donation and honors all of the the donors, recipients,
waiting recipients, and donor families.
How
do I register for LIFE Walk?
You have the option to
register online or by mail. Visit the Registration section of
the web site for details.
What
is the registration fee?
There is a
$15 Early and Online Registration free through July 24, 2008;
and $20 for Late/Event-Day registration.
Please note that if registering by mail, we must receive your
mail-in registration form(s) by July 18, 2008. Online
registration is available through July 24, 2008, 11:59 P.M.
Is
there is minimum age requirement for participation?
Yes. We ask that participants be at least 13 years of age by
July 26, 2008 to register to participate. Participation of
anyone less than 18 years of age requires the approval of a
parent or guardian; whereas, a parent or guardian must accompany
participants less than 18 years of age.
Is this event for
walkers, runners, or both?
LIFE Walk is
an event for both walkers and runners.
How
far do we walk/run?
The route is
5K for walkers with an optional 1-mile route; and 10K for
runners with an optional 5K route.
Can
teams participate? How do I form or join a team?
Yes. We encourage
team participation. A team consists of 2 or more people and may
consist of family, friends, neighbors, churches, organizations,
sororities/fraternities, co-workers, etc. Visit the Registration
section of the web site for details on forming or joining a
team. If you wish to start a team, download be sure to download
a Team Captain Toolkit.
What
else is there to do at LIFE Walk?
There will be exhibitors and various
family fun activities for your enjoyment – including the LIFE
Walk Café, Jameisa
Crossland Circle of Life Garden, music, and lot more! Visit the
Event section of the web site for the Schedule of Activities.

Where
should I mail donation checks?
ALL checks and money order should be
attached to a
donation form

Who
should I make my check / money order payable to?
Please make checks and money orders
payable to Gift of Life
MOTTEP.
Indicate '2008
LIFE Walk' on the memo line of your check.
Are
donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Monetary
donations are tax-deductible with IRS guidelines.
Can
I mail cash with a donation form?
No. For
security reasons, please do not mail cash. If you wish to mail
your donation, please send a check or money order.
Can
I make a donation online?
Yes.
Click

donation. Donations can be made using your VISA, MasterCard, or
American Express credit card.
Will
I get a receipt for my online donation?
Yes.
For donations made online, a receipt will be generated upon
completion of the transaction for you to print and confirmation
sent to your email address.
Can
I become a fundraiser?
Yes! We would love for you to be a fundraiser. Visit the
Fundraising section of the web site for details on becoming a
fundraiser and setting up your personal fundraising page.
Do
I have to participate in the event to be a fundraiser?
No. Of course we
would love to have you join us for LIFE Walk; however, if you
are unable to participate in that manner, we would definitely
appreciate your support as a fundraiser. Just visit the
Fundraising section of the web site for details.
How
do I find a participant’s personal fundraising page?

Fundraising pages are listed for individuals and teams that
chose to set them up.

What
do volunteers do?
Volunteers do a variety of important tasks.
How
do I request to become a volunteer?
Visit
the Volunteer section of the web site for details. You may
submit your request to become a volunteer online or download a
request form that you may mail in.
Can
groups volunteer? How do I/we make a request for a group to
volunteer?
Yes. We need
many volunteers. To make a request for a group to volunteer,
